Tracy got the “dog training bug” in 1986
but with her first dog Tess, an English Springer. Tracy taught Tess to
pull a tissue out of a Kleenex box when she sneezed. After performing
the trick at a local pet expo, Tracy and Tess were invited to appear on
David Letterman’s Stupid Pet Tricks.
Since Letterman, Tracy has competed in
Flyball, Obedience and Agility with several dogs. Her Jack Russell
Hannah has also garnered several acting roles including commercials for
Simmons Beautyrest and Lowes and an appearance in the Atlanta Film
Festival. Simon her Whippet at one time was ranked the #4 Agility
Whippet in the US.
She has had the chance participate in
camps and seminars and learn from some agility greats, including Karen
Holik, Anne Braue, Linda Mecklenburg, Susan Garrett, Jen Pinder and
Wendy Pape.
Tracy adopted Wyatt, her current agility
dog, on Dec 31, 2006 when he had just turned one year. Wyatt spent the
first year of his life on a 500 acre cattle ranch in South Georgia. He
was returned to his breeder because he was incessantly chasing the
cattle. Since then Wyatt has learned the game of agility very quickly
and has so far earned his AX and MXJ.
